Why choose LEAP laundry machines?

Fast – only in 15 minutes

The cycle time has been halved, so the normal self-service laundry program is only 15 minutes! Our normal 60 °C laundry program is 30 minutes!

Lower water consumption

We only need 6 litres of water for efficient cleaning of a kg of fabric- which means 40% lower water consumption than most other washing machines.

Less energy needed

Our machine uses an average of 100 watts/kg of energy for washing, so LEAP washing machines consume 30% less energy compared to other washing machines currently on the market.

Although the basic element of our washing machine is the rotating drum, but due to the different construction of the machine, this machine has a significantly more complex mechanical and hydromechanical effect on the fabric than rotary drums, thus increasing the washing effect and shortening the cycle times.

 

Presser

We installed a so-called pressure plate in front of the bottom plate of our washing drum which can compress the fabric in the drum even as the drum rotates. With this programmed pressing, we can have a unique physical effect on clothes, enhancing the washing effect. The presser is also used to remove a significant portion of the fluid from the fabrics in seconds, reducing minutes from centrifugation and shortening the program time.

 

 

Drum without cauldron

The rotary drum machines currently consist of a drum and a cauldron around it. Our machine has no cauldron. We only use a drum, which is, however, a watertight unit with separate water passages. So using less water, we can keep the same water level in the drum as that of our competitors, as we don’t have to fill the cauldron with water.

 

Unique hydromechanics

Our washing drum is partially perforated only at 120 degrees, creating perforated fields. The washing liquid is poured through the upper fields into the drum and sucked out intensively through the lower field. With this process, the fabric is under constant sprinkling, helping the fluid to flow and soak through the fabrics, making a deeper cleaning affect.

In the other washing machines, the clothes move together with the water in the drum, so the washing liquid flows on the surface of the fabric. With our unique process the alkali could also flow through the fibers of the fabric.

 

Polygonal drum

Our washing drum is not completely circular in cross section, but polygonal. These sharper shoots help bend clothes better than regular circular drums.

 

Preparation tank

The time of the washing programs of the different machines is significantly consumed by the technical times, like the in- and outflow of the water and the heating of it. We have significantly reduced these technical times with an internal pre-tank, which we can fill with the needed amount of water, and start heating it before starting the program.
When the program is already running and the prepared water has been let into the drum, the pre-tank is refilled from the mains, thus by the time of the next cycle (another wash, rinses, etc.). This saves many minutes of technical time, and every moment of the time spent can be spent on washing.

 

Internal filter

With current machines, the back fluffing worsens the cleaning efficiency and the feeling of cleanliness. During washing, the microfibers and fluffies leaving the clothes partially sticks back to the clothes. This often results in spectacularly ugly results, other times we just don’t see it, but they are there. After the program is over all the microfibers are emptied tot he sewage, making the cloths washing one of the most harmfull activity for the water. We have built in a filter to catch the floating fluffs and microfabrics to prevent this.
This is an easy-to-maintain unit that will not only make our washed clothes cleaner, but also not pollute the environment with microfibers released into the sewer.

 

Intelligence and service support

The maintenance of our machine is not only ensured by its modular, easily accessible structure, but also the controller of the machine is designed to assist to troubleshooting and repair through remote access and step-by-step guidence for servicing. The machine collects usage statistics, records and transits error codes, so that in the event of a error, the machine displays all the recommended steps for checking and correcting the error.
Usage data can be shared with the owner in the form of statistics, which helps to optimize either the program of the machines or the business planning. Our goal is to minimize downtime in the event of a machine malfunction by providing all the support for quick repairs for the person who maintains the washing machine.

Our machines are designed for a service life of at least 10 years.

In light of all this, it is perhaps understandable how we achieve a reduction in program times, the lower energy demand resulting from shorter programs and the lower water demand and more efficient water use thanks to a drum without cauldron. All this in a smart laundry machine that combines the technical achievements of today.
